Here's hoping Choppa can maintain the awesome pace shown thus far when if those south island tracks ever dry out. Also hope Craig can find some, looks like a mare of a weekend for him and Hayden.

That's the problem with a 10 race series, 1 bad result and you're fucked.

Sounds like a deal....Craig is quick at Manfield but I have all the faith in the world in the Suzuki boys! When was the last time another brand won the series?
Wouldn't be racing if it wasn't for:MotoMart, Pirelli, EBC Brakes, Ripecoffee.co.nz, Slotmedia.co.nz, Totalbodyshop.co.nz and Wurth

Tony Rees, Yamaha. After Stroud lost points for passing under yellows in one of the races.

Stroud then fought the decision in court for months and eventually had his points reinstated, regaining the championship. Rees then took the oportunity to retire from Superbike racing as he wasn't interested in political bullshit such as that.

For my mind, he still won it.

Fuck knows when a Honda last won though, has it actually happened?

I stand corrected. And Tony was honest about it by the look of the Tribunal findings.

I witnessed the same actions. Tony simply did neither confirm nor deny - as I guess any racer would.

And what a complete joke that whole fiasco was,Since when do cones ensure a downed riders safety,A yellow flag is a yellow flag and should be adhered to.Stroudy should have not only been disqualified for putting others safety at risk,He should have had his licence removed for a determined period.A classic example as to why Car club officials should NOT be allowed to officiate at motorcycle events,Murray Starnes (Manawatu car club president and clerk of the course on that day)Had shown a complete lack of understanding at previous motorcycle events he had officiated at

Good call Billy about Car club officianados. Unfortunately at riders briefing we were all told that the no passing rule under a yellow flag was only to be adhered to if done after the cones at the entry to corners. We were also told to go and inspect where those cones were on our practices. There was alot of discussion from riders about how it was going to work. If there was an issue about the cones, then it should have been rectified at riders briefing. It wasn't. I would like to think that MNZ had approved the supplementary regulations prior to them being issued????? Especially if they were so different than what was currently accepted by all the riders. There was also alot of talk from competitors after the riders briefing about being able to overtake prior to the cones, without any consequences - some people thought it was a hell of a joke. For my 2 cents worth, Stroudy was following the rules on the day to the letter. He knew and understood the rule clearly. I think you are being harsh in your attack on Andrew. Even after the event, there were still competitors that were unsure about the supplementary rules.
If anyone should have been persecuted so intensely as you mention, it should have been the people that brought in the ridiculous rule change for this one event. Safety was obviously not a factor in instigating the change!
