Battery not good - Go MotoBatt

I have had a dodgy battery for a while now. Leave the lights on for 15 seconds and she is struggling.

I had a YTZ14S Yuasa in my ST1300. On this site quoted prices range between $270 and $510. Ouch!

I saw MotoBatt's advertised and thought I would give one a go. Went in to see Matt at the Battery Cell, 131 The Esplanade, Petone. Ph (04) 568 8826.

Matt was brilliant to be honest and quickly talked me in to giving a MotoBatt a go. I got a MBT X9U which was listed as the compatible battery for my bike.

These things are very adaptable. They have a terminal in each corner, so will fit your bike no matter which side the positive terminal is on. It comes with an allen key to swap the terminals around. I had to swap them around and it was a 2 minute job. Very easy. My new battery slotted straight in the hole and i used the old screws to clamp the wires on instead of the supplied allen screws. I needed to find a slightly longer bolt for the clamp, but I had the thing installed in 15 minutes.
It was ready to go right from the get go. No need to charge it or anything. Fully sealed, so no leaking fluids. Seems to work fine on my bike. Started it up a few times with no sign of problems.

But the best thing is the price - $105.00 for mine with a 2 year guarantee!!!

Cheaper than that at Repco IIRC.

"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"

I don't mind paying a little extra if the service is good... :-)
