Racey's Taranaki Retreat Offer 30th Jan

    l
Ok all you Northern'ers .... Auckland Anniversary weekend will soon be upon you. Got anything planned? (Jan 30th - Feb 1st)

As part of my Race season Fundraising, I would like to offer 3 couples a two night stay in a lodge on the outskirts of New Plymouth. Yes... The Mighty Taranaki!

My Idea is, you would ride down to NP on the Saturday morning. I would meet you and escort you to a private lodge (nothing fancy) in the midst of the Taranaki ranges. This lodge is surrounded by a massive private garden/native bush (340 hecters if you're really keen) where you would be my guests, Bed and Breakfast style.

On the Sunday some tripping round Taranaki could be organized. If you really have an iron butt, a trip through SH43, The Forgotten Highway, could be arranged. Or just a jaunt through to the famous Whangamomana Pub. A backroad tour around the mountain is always good value, or just visit a few of New Plymouth's attractions and walk along the foreshore. We even had something called the World Wide Web connected to Taranaki the other day.

Back to the lodge for the evening, Then out through the Awakino gorge on the trip home.

I would provide bedding, evening meals and breakfasts. You would buy your own lunches and drinks (available from the licensed cafe onsite if required).

How much for this full weekend of adventure and entertainment?
$250 per couple. (Two nights and food) And I'm flexible enough for you to Cancel, if the weather turns really bad that weekend!

Or you could just stay home and paint the house!

    More details by PM.

And remember - it's a fundraiser for my Winter Series racing. So not only will you have a great weekend away, but you'll be able to watch my race season unfold, knowing you had a big input into it.

    Happy Biking

The Chateau to Plateau is on Sunday 31st so be careful heading North on SH43 - you may come across around 100 - 200 bikes coming towards you!

Top deal, pity we just finshed the big road trip that took in the sites of Taranaki. Any chance of a repeat offer? Could be keen in a month or two. For those considering this deal, sign up. Taranaki (New Plymouth) was the best stop of a 2000+ km trip.Heaps of things to do dependant on what you are into.

No takers. Thought there might be some interest with the long weekend, but I will try this again sometime. Will seek some interest Before I book the lodge next time.

kinda not enough notice, and seeing you only suggest couples, it excludes single people.

blue is crap to read man. use yellow or green or something if you wanna be different

so in summary - if you made it possible for single people to attend, provided activities which people usually cant do by themselves and providing longer notice period, and you delivered the message in a way that your target market can read it, you will get a higher response rate.

    my 2c from marketing prospective.

    Good luck with your racing.
