Calling classic and post classic sidecars heaps of shit has just alienated you from all the sidecar competitors with those machines. Has anyone in that class ever degraded you with a response like that?? Money doesn't buy you friends Steve. I love the class, it's far more enjoyable than the moderns. And more info for you - to save you assuming again, if we wanted to 'dominate' the class as you suggest, then why the hell would we miss an entire round at Manfeild and lose valuable points, when instead we chose to go to the NZSRA's annual "Have-a-go-day" and support our club again?

I don't have a problem other than with your passenger who is a two faced shit stirring twat!! Again, I personally can't see why you need to belittle someone. Yeah, sure Kick and I do it, but it's harmless banter - not personal attacks.

Just like you I was lucky to have someone fund my sidecar so $ has nothing to do with it, Which part of your imagination did you dredge that nonsense up from??? I paid for mine over 2 years - not bad for a 20 year old.

You were 1 of only 2 N.I. members to put your hand up to doing 3 rounds at our AGM. Also, you cannot influence an up coming years racing after an MNZ conference Steve. If you wanted to have a round dropped, it would have had to have been remitted prior to the MNZ conference.

It dos not matter what I say you have made up your mind, however we did have a meeting down south in which we all agreed to support the Invas round - another faulse promiss andd I will not take the blame for this. The association is in charge of it's destiney. Easy to point fingres Aye!!!!!! If there were only 2 rounds down South, it would have been Ruapuna and Teretonga. Wheres the falseness in that? You've lost me. " I never promissed anything" whats sold us out is the second trip across the ditch to compete at a nothing truck meeting and putting better numbers on that grid than the National rounds - Simple!!!!!!!!! Now you know who to blame
If you call 10 or maybe 11 sidecars on the grid in an invitational handicapped race as better than the Nationals, then you seriously have to ask yourself WHAT THE HELLS HAPPENED TO THE NATIONALS???
Oh, by the way, Chris Lawrance didn't even get to race at the truck meeting - so he can't be blamed for it either, by you or Jim.
Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??

Its really sad that when you speak a few home truths & take these guys to task with some facts, they all go to ground.
The drama has'nt even begun yet.
Yep, it'll be fuckin waaahhh allright.
They seem to have nothing factual or robust to add to their argument at all.
What you guys need to realise is that while Scrivy & i are the vocal ones on here, there are at least 16 competitors right behind us.
The worst part, is people bullying a senior competitor that had no intention of riding at a meeting into putting in an entry to make up enough numbers to get a round at Ruapuna, even though said gentleman didnt even WATCH the racing (if 3 machines circulating hundreds of metres apart could be afforded the luxury of being described as racing), let alone compete.
It would seem this "ghost entrant" is now very uneasy about his decision to become thus involved, & rightfully so.
I think the change of thread title is a feeble attempt to embaress us & deflect the attention away from downright cheating & make those of us that have stood by the NZSRA & the majority vote, look like a bunch of whingers.
It is tragic that the actions of a very few has the potential to destroy valuable friendships (yes Warwick & Jo, they are valuable) that have been built up over a number of years.

Fucken 'ell, it's really all turning to shit.

Can I just say that when I first had the experience of having anything to do with Sidecar racing was I think the first year Stacey brought the LCR over at the Puke' round (4 years back?) as the guest of Pig, Goober and Warwick. I was genuinely amazed at the comraderie and good natured ribbing in the pits. Sue got taken for a skid. The Prentice boys went fucken nuts on track. I laughed more in one weekend than I normally would in a year. It was quite simply fucken awesome.

The fact that within 3-4 short years it's been reduced to this genuinely saddens me.

I've just read this whole thread....bit sad really. I'm just a lowly flaggy, but I love watching those sidecars out there...best part of the racing from a spectators point of view.
I really hope that you guys can sort your shit out.
The alternative is a pretty sad outcome.

well, i am one of these pissed of competitors. i was told we had to do all 3 rounds down south, which most members in the club could not afford, or take the time of work for, so the NZSRA notified MNZ that we would do 2 rounds to give decent feilds for Christchurch & Teretonga. MNZ did not listen to our club & went ahead with 3 rounds. Now i here not enough entries for invercargill which we warned mnz about & the round is cancelled for sidecars, only found out 2 days before Christchurch so not enough time to get sorted to get there, & now only 2 south island rounds , what the club originally wanted. on top of that there is only 5 yes 5 sidecars racing at those 2 rounds, thats why there is pissed of teams. Chris

I can see a bit of an problem developing here with no sidecars running at Teretonga this weekend.
MNZ made it VERY CLEAR that the NZ champs must be run over five rounds, no exception & no special dispensation for any class to do four, either written or verbal was issued.
    Where does this leave us?

I would say without a championship if you put it like that. However, I would imagine that as the decision to pull the plug wasa made squarely by MNZ, then they would most probably just run it as a 4 round series.

That could work out to be very frustrating for those competitors that wanted four rounds to begin with, but were denied that & withdrew from the series accordingly, only to find that it is four anyway.
Surely MNZ can see trouble brewing, having aggrieved the majority of competitors.

For what my opinion is worth mate, it looks very much to me like MNZ don't want Sidecars racing at the nationals. And thus don't actually give a fuck.

I'm beginning to think that MNZ don't actually know WHAT they want.....
