Sooooo? How'd it go? Last race on Sunday it looked like you were getting there (I take it you were the swinger), as you definitely had a bigger gap to last place than the other races we'd watched.

Missed what actually happened at the start with the front bikes as was watching out for #128 (did see the hand go up though lol).

We were on the BMW in the middle of the front row between the yellow Norton & the Moto Guzzi.
As we hooked 2nd gear (about 90kmh) John on the Guzzi took a hard right turn into us, pushing us into the Norton & making the handlebars turn left, which nearly put us upside down.
As we were squeezed out the back, i saw the Guzzi & Norton hit together & dissapear around turn one.
As you can imagine, it was a lot of fun, & i guess thats the main thing.

So what you're saying is that we need to ensure we have crash bars all round?!!
The old BMW went very well considering we had 2 different heads on with different valves and springs etc..
Having the engine opened up put some peoples minds to rest also!!
The mighty BMW lived to fight another day!!

    GO THE BM!

Ahh yes. we dropped a valve insert idling up pit lane after the second race.
I went into Auckland to to very kind gentleman's home (Sean Ellis) & borrowed a cylnder head, & about the only thing that was the same about it was the stud pattern, different size valves, different springs, different compression ratio, & one less spark plug. However, it kept the fire inside the engine for the day & powered us to a championship victory!!
