This thread is very quiet considering it is on tomorrow.

I have finally managed to sort out my childcare arrangements for my children, so I can come! Phew.

A small group of us are leaving from Cycletreads at 6am tomorrow (Saturday) or anyone else who wants to join us.

+1. Although the beginning of the day didn't go according to plan, the whole day worked out great.

    Cool

Hey, thanks to all, today was pretty great. I left to take over baby duty about 3.00, but by my reckoning we hadn't had a single off, (could be wrong...) how did the day end up?

Guys another very successful ART day. Grahams down south at the mo so I'll fill in the blanks. There were a few riders who considered a change to dirt tracking but all managed to stay up right and kept a smile on the dial. Infact it was commented by some of the instructors that the couple of run offs were very well handled and quick, calm thinking by the riders concerned in each case.

We even had one poor fellow who managed to separate a fuel line and dowse the track and his bike wiith petrol but still avoid any of the fiery stuff and ride home with no damage and a story to tell.

The weather was fine (Damn hot actually - drank nearly 5 litres of water myself) and the track in good condition. The sponsors for the event again stepped up with amazing support that allowed it all to happen, Thanks again Northern Accessories and Star Insurance.

I for one was a tired but happy instructor by the time I got home the standard of you guys out there was fantastic, the instructors full on all day and the organisation just got on with delivering what we all know now is one of the best events you can attend on your bike and one we are all proud to be a part of.

The people that volunteer their time, effort, tyres, et al to make this work for you all are the life and blood of the ART days.

Thanks guys for making it work, roll on April.

Yesterday's ART day was awesome fun, thanks to all the instructors and AMCC organisers who made it happen (and thanks to Squiggles for donating his bike to me for the day )!
I was one of the riders who gave dirt tracking a go on the first round (apparently third gear round the hairpin was slightly ambitious!) but learnt heaps over the day and by the second and third sessions was really enjoying things. Apparently I also survived some fairing-to fairing contact in the fourth session but only found that out afterwards ><
So it was a fun day and I had a great first time out on the track.

I have to say, I think the track was in worse condition than any other time I had attended. I particularly noticed the undulations in the first corner, Jenian homes. Man was that a bouncy corner.
On the flip side, it was dry, so ....
