Soooo, as I'm going to have a new bike tomorrow I was thinking that I'll need to learn how to ride all over again.... SASS yo! Weather looks a bit shit though for tomorrow

South Auckland Street Skills or SASS

WHAT: Learning and improving Riding Skills
WHEN: Wednesday Nights
WHERE: Meet at Z (ex-Shell) Service Station, Cnr Great South Road and Taka St, TAKANINI (the one with a Burger King)
WHO: Riders new and old, and anyone getting back into Motorcycling (must be legal & hold a motorcycle license)
WHY:
- Practice essential skills for staying alive on the road.
- Practical help with your riding.
- Fun times with fellow riders, with great stories and discussions.
- Build friendships, solicit advice and pick-up riding tips.

MEET at Z station Takanini -----------> before 6.55pm

START ride -----------------------------> about 7pm

FINISH ride at ex-Manukau City Council car park for slow-speed safety exercises -----> usually 8pm-ish
(next to the new Manukau train station & opp. police station)

SOCIAL time @ a nearby pub after car park exercises -----------> 8.40pm-ish
(we're checking out a few watering holes)

Cost: Nil, nada, zip, zero, nothing... Just your time and attention.

Thanks Sis, yeah, I've been a stranger over the last year haven't I. I'm definitely keen to get back into SASS but I'm just not keen if it's raining. Crossing my fingers for next week

As for my new ride, I got it yesterday and I had to ride it home in the pouring rain on Anzac-eve traffic from the city. I did not enjoy it. Man, I'd forgotten how painful riding a sportsbike is. Here's a pic, kudos to anyone who can guess the model

Good guess both of you, you're correct. Ever since Howard let me ride his zx all those months (years?) ago I've been pining for one of my own.



Took it for a run today to Thames and back..... wow. I still haven't taken it over half revs

It's annoying how amateurish I feel riding it. Really need to get back to SASS to my skills up with it. Can't wait to see you all again.
