Ill Try to be there but due to drunkin complications , I have the super loud pipe back on the Masport, so if I do come I will bring up the rear so I don't deafen the rest of the SASS'ins.

Speaking of pipes, my exhaust headers are looking a bit rusty... One fine sunny day, I'm gonna have to sand the rusted spots and paint them with some engine enamel.

Easy to polish if they are stainless. Or wrap them with exhaust tape for more powa.

I shall be there tomorrow night if not pissing down.

They're matt black, not stainless unfortunately... The original were stainless but had rusted through from the inside, and the last owner replaced them with these.

See you guys and gals there!

How did those grip puppy things work out?

If they were stainless they wouldnt have rusted out.....

Very well. I'd recommend them for reducing vibration through the handlebars and a larger diameter for gripping (less tiring than a standard thin/narrow grip). Basically sponge-like neoprene tubes slipped on to the grip, very tight so you don't need glue.

Apparently the stainless were more guards than actual pipe, so there were actually two - A stainless on the outside and a standard steel on the inside and somehow the one inside rusted away till you could hear it really well. It also rattled around inside the stainless outside tube.

He didn't have enough dosh to fit in a new stainless and not for an old bike like this, so he opted for a standard steel pipe painted matt black. That was a shame since this bike looks good with the chrome but at least the 'new' black pipes matched the engine.
