sounds like a story to be told!?!?
Nice to meet y'all again. Seems like ages since my last SASS.
Looking forward to next week's ride too
Baby sitting duties tonight so no ride for me - nothing to do with the weather
One of you should pick up the Auckland Tag on the way past![]()
Sorry I missed the ride. I have just got home now, had to work late.
Hope you had a great ride.
Not a bad wee ride last night. Nothing too serious. Looked like the weather was going to pack it in while we were in the carpark, but nothing more than a few spits. Good little practice session after all.
I ended getting stuck baby-sitting too. Well not so much baby-sitting as it was "giving the wife time away from the boy". Went sanity-restoringly well
Had a nice time last wed, thx ya'll. my first ride with SASS. looking forward to many more
am always game for a jaunt out of town, esp if the weather is glowing, like this weekend. anyone up for a ride to coromandel this weekend??
Did the Coro loop yday from Pauanui to Coro, down to Paeroa and back to auckland. Bloody awesome! was scrapping down toe to toe on the hills![]()
450kms in all.
Thats a nice ride. I may have been able to join you depending on what time you left. I did Kaiaua, Kopu, Paeroa, Te Aroha, Morrinsville and then back up to Kaiaua. Had thought about the Coro loop again but the other guy was short on time and it looked a bit like rain in that direction (was the afternoon) You didn't have a white helmet blue bike did you?
Could be. I left about noon, and did catch a lil rain on my way up the hills. blue n white bike-yes. but my helmet's an orange-silver mix. u gonna be around this wed?
Yeah I should be there![]()
i'm looking forward to theSee you all there tomorrow night
![]()
I will be there.
Hopefully on the bike. It's a bit worse for wear at the moment. I took on the back of a light truck on the motorway this evening.
All ready been to Manukau Police Station and filed a report.
I clipped the back of the small truck as I tried to avoid the texting bitch that was pulling into my lane. Almost missed the truck. Got a little wobble on after tapping it and remember adamantly thinking that I wasn't going to drop the bike in the middle of the motorway.
The Police have remained uncommitted about charges to be laid against the texting cow. I guess if she doesn't admit to it, they will not push it any further.
I stopped and had a brief chat with truck driver and then went to Papakura Police Station but they were closed.
Rode home. When Howard came home, I showed him the damage and we went to Manukau Police.
Now it is wait and see.
I have broken a piece of my faring and lost my left mirror. Funny enough, the indicator was caught in it all but it is still there, in one piece and it is working.
Thank Goodness for all the practising I do at SASS.
I wonder how I might have survived otherwise.
