Hi Sis,
Picking up my new bike at 6pm tomorrow night, so hopefully I'll be able to attend.
Hi Sis,
Picking up my new bike at 6pm tomorrow night, so hopefully I'll be able to attend.
Hmmm, I think the calendar is still setup incorrectly. The only SASS entry I can see is for yesterday. And bump!
Thanks for last night everyone.
Howard, I don't think I've ever braked that hard in my life. Was almost flying forward off my bike towards the end of the night.
Hi Guys,
Mum-in-law very sick, so don't know if we can make it this week. Hopefully see you next time.
BTW, loving my new bike
Cross fingers, see you tonight, and yes riding whenever I can - don't have to pay for parking at Middlemore on a bike
Last night's SASS meeting was hella-awesome.
We spent a lot of it practicing emergency evasion using strong countersteering both on the road and at the carpark later on. After practicing that all night my bike now feels incredibly easy to steer, I'm having trouble remembering how I used to steer beforehand.
The carparking area where we practice is really well setup, it's like a big oval course; one length was for emergency evasion and the other for slow speed slalom (actually the 180 degree turns at either end of the oval are fun too). There was a really nice flow going on there.
Thanks again to Howard and Jayne.
I'm looking to come to this on the 24th March but the google map links in the first post don't seem to be right ...
Thanks to Grasshopperus sending me the correct links, I think I have it working now
I hope everyone got home safely and somewhat dry.
Thanks for the big turn-out. Makes me feel that the effort in helping you is worthwhile.
Jayne
Safe and sound Jayne.
I think we left the pub at the right time, there was a good lull in the rain.
Was thinking about our ride out to Clevedon last night; I think going at 70-80km/h when we have 'L' platers in the group is a good idea but on some of those 100km/h zones there was some dodgy cager overtaking going on. I wonder if going at 100km/h would have been the lesser of two evils.
Hi
I'm back from a weekend in Christchurch.
I was thinking along the same lines, about the 70kph.
If Twilight Road is to be ridden, the speed has to be increased on the Clevedon Road.
We can discuss it this Wednesday before the ride.
See you all then
Once the bike is on the road i will be there. I might even come in the cage and check it out in the next week or two.
to much education is never enough
OK, so as long as its not raining, we'll be there.
And . . . bump
Thanks guys, much appreciated. Certainly a few areas I need to work on. Practice, practice, practice for me...
