I think this is pretty damn conclusive, Myth Busted.

For my next stunt I would like to challenge a falcon ex-taxi through the Desert Rd, I'll be on a full dresser HD, running on one cylinder, I'll be facing backwards and chugging beers.

    Piss easy.

Though someone will have to lend me their HD.

A bike does 19.1 KM of the Nurburgring in around 7:30. 20.8 KM in over 8 minutes.

All car times are for the 20 KM circuit and there are a lot of cars that do that in less than 8 minutes!

300kph didn't help him get away.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Generally speaking, bugger all of these high powered/sporty car owners can drive them to their potential. I've smoked plenty of flash Hondas, Altezza, BMW 540, Legacy GTB and a VR4 thru the twistly bits of Desert Rd with my ex taxi Falcon on steel 15" rims.
Why should the car run on 1300cc? The argument is about power to weight, not capacity rating vs top speed.

It's never conclusive to say you smoked some random person in a 'flash' car... there is a good chance they couldn't be bothered/wanted to survive the journey/thought you were a tosser/had better things to do. Unless you arrange it before hand there's no way to prove they were really trying.

The funny thing is that people on here are quick to say that a Busa will beat any car, a modern 1000cc can do under 10sec 1/4 mile - it all comes down to the person riding the bike. Also, it takes a lot of extra investment to make a Busa do 400kmh.

Because it's a 'famous' bike that retarded bikers and even more retarded 'car enthusiasts' always refer to as being the fastest factory production bike.

That list of 50 cars are as expensive and is some cases rare, as they are fast..

I reckon, on an open road, there would be very few rider/bike combinations that could out do a well trained police driver in a fast porsche. Common sense tells me so. In urbanville with traffic/obstacles etc, there is a slightly better chance of the bike getting away. But only slightly.

Problem is his speedo is stuck on, what is it, 220mph? You can hear the revs increasing, but can't see it happen. I'm still not 100% sure if it is real though. And if it is - would any of those cars hit it in the same time-frame? But, I'm not making an argument for a bike outperforming a performance car. It's relatively clear that the grip and dynamics of 4 wheels should trump two wheels. It would be interesting to see the breakdown in terms of cost versus performance though and accessibility of that performance.

Not a theory I'd like to test though

But the RC30 was on MEZ1's... Hell, better tyres out there now... (P/T).

Fact remains though, for those that a fast bike will piss all over a fast car are truly mistaken.

The only place a bike really has it, is the performance for the price.
Trouble is there is no way you can stop or corner as fast...

For those that think they can, will either find out the hard way, or sadly will never find out at all.

just curious does Britain have a max speed that coppers can go?
sure you could get away on a bike if you have skill and knowledge of the road + luck..... but cops also have radios to set up road blocks, the porche would be used more to keep eyes on the vehicle
I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.
