If you want black to go with the gold rims, I'd suggest what my VFR750 was painted with: Granite Blue Metallic. The VFR had silver and gold decals and gold calipers and rotor carriers, and polished wheels. The Granit Blue Metallic looks black except close up in sunlight, where you can see blue metalflakes in it, which make it look like the mica flakes in granite (hence the name) and give it a bluish sheen. I liked it so much I'm tempted to get the VFR800 repainted in it.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

That sounds very similar to the Kawasaki Midnight Blue.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My signature is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my signature is useless. Without my signature, I am useless.

Thanks Ian, I just had to go find out for myself after reading this earlier.
The local Panel n' Paint shop dude showed me two Metallic colours he could add. One was the one you are talking about im sure, the other was Gold....
He will do me up two colour pads to show me the effect...
Must say though, I think it will not be an easy choice.

Well, keep us informed as to progress.
Just to add further confusing choices.... I also saw a Mercedes painted in what looked like black, except in strong sunlight it looks very dark green due to green metalflake in the paint. Very subtle and classy (but I still prefer the blue version)
It was Eggs Zachary what #2MutantTroglodyteSpawn was looking for to repaint his car in. Shame he blew the engine and sold it...

Picked up the colour pads today.
To be honest, when I first saw them, I wanted the Black/Blue, it looks WOW!
Get home and have another look and wadda ya know, the Black/Gold looks equally WOW!

The new Decals should be here tomorrow, I have gone for a Gold Pin stripe only Honda wing with the word HONDA in solid.
It will look pretty cool on either colour.

You know what they say Mark, once you've had black, you'll never go back

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
