More Lie Profit Privatize From National (9th Feb Parliament)

We had private prison in NZ before and yes it cost $5,000 more per prisoner per year at ACRP when it was private.
With less staff
Profit going over seas
More staff getting bashed
To be affected you may mow the lawns fix or sell cars etc to staff that got made redundant (dam you're going broke now with GST going up ACC going up Rego going up Property tax going up. Who's next? you.re next). or need a hip replaced and the waiting list is longer now because more prisoners and staff in hospital.
Time to stop the madness. or just pay up

i really think you are looking at the "doom and gloom" part of this a wee bit to much.
why if it was private would it be from an overseas company?
if there were less job as you say, why would more people get bashed (would show very bad managment skills)?

as for all the follow on things they will go up regardless and the public health system is a joke now.
if the justice system was run correctly in the first place we wouldn't need this to happen but even if it does, if it is run better and cheaper why is that a problem?

Alternative option:

1. Government opens contract for prisons to public tender
2. A NZ businessman tenders and wins
3. Jobs remain in NZ
4. Money remains in NZ
5. Money is used to fund other enterprise
6. More jobs in NZ
7. Having prison run as a private enterprise means more efficient
8. Prison is no longer a luxury hotel with Sky TV (I don't even fucking have Sky!)
9. Government spending target is met (My taxes. Fantastic!)
10. = Win

Or is the aim to simply have a "National bad" froth-rant? In which case please, carry on.

I like this idea better as NZ PPS can tender and win.
I want to see the money stay in NZ.
Any GOVT Left/Right would have needed the slash spending in 2009 2010.
I just don't want to see our ACC etc profit going over seas.

If you are conserned about our taxs and the like going up maybe you should have a go at all the wasted money from people on benfits or the people who are getting free stomoch operations because they are to fat, or the people on low income who get free IVF treatment.
If we looked at the whole system, made some hard calls then we would not have to worry about our taxs going up because we hwould have 13.8 billion dolrs left.

this is where our taxes are going, so stop this waste and they don't have to look at prisons.
like i said there is around 13.8 b wasted each year think of the health care if they put that into it.
