Cant remember its name but its about a russian sniper at Stalingrad - "Enemy at the Gate" or something like that rings a bell or summat!

Anyone know when Peter Jackson's Dambusters is coming out?

Anyhoo, how could I forget "Hannibal Brookes"...Oliver Reed and an Elephant, they just don't make films like that anymore...

Maybe not "the best" or "favourite" but both worth watching, and not yet (I think) listed:

    (Some similarities...)

Good old Blackadder goes forth... not a movie but one of the most amusing comedy war series I've ever seen.

Shame the so called "complete series" was only 6 episodes from each series - they missed out some classics.

I'm with you on that one. Although perhaps they could add an 's' on the front and we can all have a laugh.

The one with the grammar school accents from middle England, pretending to be Russians? One of the few films I should have walked out of half way. German sniper stands up and gives away his position. Insulting script.

Has ANY remake ever been any good?

It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

    War movies are great.

    Wars pretty much suck.

No. That movie was a Russian remake of the batle of Kursk. This movie is an Ameican and German production. Did you not play the video?
