Hi I'm Jesse, another newbie, hopefully looking to meet up with people in christchurch to ride with after I get my lisence, particularly other women riders but anyone will do as long as you are friendly and easy-going.
I'm in Christchurch, and just got a 1987 CBR250r to practise for my skills test.
Anyone know of any decent, big, empty car parks in which to practice?

There is the car park at the Westpac. Or try and find a quiet estate to practice.
When you get yourself sorted, there is a Wed night ride meeting at the Burger King carpark, 6pm, you should come along and check it out!

I am a new rider too, and doing the women s training day through Mainland on Monday the 8th. There are a few other courses that people have been talking about including Pro Rider, and those who have done them seem to rate them.

Hi Jesse! Have added you to the chch girls group so would be awesome to meet ya sometime. There is a lunch ride going in a few weeks so check out the group-all details in there!
Yup Addington raceway is a good place to pratice when its not in use- they do lock the gates sometimes but you can get out with a tiny bit off riding on a walkway if it happens!

cool thanks! yup keen to be social, just (im)patiently waiting for my friend who is taking me out for practice to recover from his broken collarbone. Now I feel like I'm back where I was a few weeks ago because I haven't kept up the practice! (slow learner!) Definitely look forward to meeting everyone
