Rego in AUS.

One of my sites tells me that Bike Rego in Qld has gone up $ 250 a year,which makes it $ 800

Ozzie has compulsory third party (medical) insurance - effectively the ACC levy. OTOH no ACC on petrol...
Traditionally NZ always had cheaper rego tax than oz, as befits a third world country, but I woudln't bet on it now - especailly condiering the 25% more earnings in oz.

25% more earnings doesn't mean much with everything costs 25% more ~_~

Atleast here in Perth anyway.. Did I mention everything shuts at like 5pm?
