Superbikes at Monza just underway. Those Suzuki's have awesome power. Corser is looking unbeatable. Anyone going to tip against another Corser win?![]()

Umm, you heard of putting "Spoiler" in the title???
Sorry if it sounded like that, but I was just about to watch the race live. I obviously didn't know the result... check the time.Originally Posted by gav
I was thinking about this last night. Not sure if I am all that keen on the no-mod the bike during the season rule.
Basically, they can only use parts that are on sale to the public and parts are registered twice a year (homologated).
That kind of means - if you build a powerfull bike then no-one else can compete until midmay thru the year. You could say - great for building a powerful bike, as suzuki have done, but limiting any competition until they have almost won the championship is a bit silly.
I think they should be able to create an 'upgrade kit', that can be certified every 3 race meets or something. The kit should be made avail. to the buys of the homologated machines.
Mind you - I do like the rule that says you must remove the toolbox (25.9). I could just imagine someone with a totally munted machine trying to put it back together on the side of the track.
The superstock rules are a lot easier. The doc starts... "Everything that is not authorised and prescribed in this rule is forbidden". Mind you - if you search the document you wont find the rule that allows you to buy the bike in the first place.
Whats the 1968 vienna convention then.
