These sorts should be held to account.

When I was in a wheelchair I was told I'd be out of it in four visits... 10 visits and hundreds of dollars later I was worse and quit.

Did they say it was an expensive way of selling distilled water?

Yeah, they said the typical dilution factor is 100,000:1. The homeopathy guy said modern science had a long way to go to catch up with homeopathy since the amount of stuff in the water was so miniscule and modern technology is unable to detect it

I have found that for hypochondriacs, homeopathy works surprisingly well. It is called the placebo effect. So well in fact that even your GP will use it from time to time.

Not that I am playing down the seriousness of claimed efficacy for actual illnesses.

Given that it can work so well, I'm surprised that somebody hasn't invented a double-strength placebo.

I spent $2k at a Homoeopath, over a 2 year period. He was also a GP (before he was struck off) and his expertise is with removing poisons and sprays.

I began to get nervous when he started injecting me in the ankles with gonorrhoea.

But by then I was a bit softened up from being placed for an hour in an ex air force decompression chamber on an oxygen mask with an intravenous drip of 15,000mg of vitamin C....

I must admit, my constitutional health has improved markedly. Probably the best $2k I have spent. Cellular medicine I think its called. Many farmers, neighbours and spray victims go to this guy.

If you understand the principle of a vaccine, how can an understanding of homoeopathy not logically follow?

    Most notably depression.
Figure I should get some help, instead get snobbed off with sugar pills.

    No thanks.

Panadol "Rapid" is bullshit too. Placebo effect for extra cash.

It's not just Homeopathy talking out of its arse.

But caffeine makes your heart beat faster, surely that means it's making you more healthy?

They said multiple studies show up to 30% increased pain relief with brand name meds vs generic - even when the pills were the same pills but in a different bottle. They suggested that the placebo effect additional to the actual pain relief is worth paying the extra $$ for

How do the principles between vaccination and homeopathy relate? Taking a small amount of a substance and making you react to it? Uh... vaccines aren't small amounts of bacteria and viruses. They are attenuated samples or parts of them. Don't you think the GP getting struck off the medical register says something? Do you know if it was for medical misconduct?
I, too, would be nervous about being injected with gonorrhea. That doesn't sound homeopathic at all.
15g of vit c IV is pretty hard out. I thought that was only experimental for people with cancer.

I came across this gem of a web page this week. (randomly while looking for redline water wetter).
    http://www.detoxme.co.nz/detox_electrical.htm
While entertaining for the causal skeptic, it's written in a very careful way which suggests that the writer is intelligent enough to know that its a crock of crap.

Click next at the bottom of each page to read more wackiness. The disclaimer at the end is a nice contradiction to all that came before it.

I'm a little pissed that people are allowed to prey on others and sell crap like this and avoid criminal fraud charges.
