Plenty of old motocross bikes road racing in the 80s man. Not motarding as such, just racing dirt bikes on the road.

Haha, I figured that much. Unfortunately, my typing skills far outweigh my racing skills. Keen for a swap?

But no huge singles with road hoops and slicks?

Frenchy: I'm not worried, there's no way a Suzuki will last 6 rounds.

Yep, but even back then it was wire wheels from memory. I can remember a teenaged Shayne King in pre-World Champion days rockin' up to the Frankleigh Road drags in New Plymouth on a CR250 fitted with road rubber, and I can remeber seeing a few similar bikes at Wanganui and Paritutu.

Yip and Brent Stephens (now Valentino Rossis technician) at The inaugaral Gumboot grand prix in 1986 on an RM250 or Steve Dundon winning numerous 125 grand prix titles in the 70s on his RM125
