Slicks for Cbr 400 with 18" rear?

Looking for slick tyres for my 1989 CBR 400 racebike, hard to find slicks for the rear tyre.
Please let me know if you know where I can get some, either from NZ or Australia.
    Cheers.

    Umm,
It may well be cheaper to do a 17" wheel conversion....
I think there are a few VFR (NC30) owners who will put you on the right track though.

    Dont even bother
NC29 , NSR250 and a few others rear wheels are all easily fitted .

If you are at the front end of a race class then go for a slick but otherwise just get a set of GPRa10s . Neil set a track record on Manfeild long track with a GPR on the rear.
The other benifit is the GPR is heaps cheaper and can be sold on to a road bike when its a bit too worn for racing.
PS; yes i know a thing or two about CBRs lol and tyres.
    My 2 cents worth.

    Paul.

Bridgestone still does a 155/635x18 slick, available of the shelf ex Eurotred ( good fresh stock, not eons old crap )
also 150/60x18 BT090's available, similar concept to the GPR's, as they are a lightweight proddy race tyre ...... any good bike shop can source these for you

    Umm,
    You sure about that Paul?

All i remember was changing bike configuration all the time, and i can't remember what tyre we were using for the Lap Record.

Thought it was F3, and we were cold shering a Slick at the time.... Only used the GPRa10 for posties (To save the slick, no other reason).

It doesn't really matter, as Neils time with GPRa10's is A LOT faster than what the Fast Class Boys do on a normal track day!
We found a time sheet from the early rounds while cleaning out the garage. Saw 1:18's for the short track, and agreed he must have been on the GPRa10's at the time....

    Back to the OP.
As I suggested, convewrt it to 17". The Wheels and tyres are out there....

Yep the GPRa10 are good tyres - i did a 56 sec lap at wangas on my "400" last year ( i didnt have flatslides then too ) - gpra were my intermediate tyre and performed well for what they were - i think i did a 2:04-2:05 with one on. best part is they are great in the wet ( if you don't have spare rims )

Dunlops... glen williams runs them.... good enough for him ( and a few of the rest of us )

Can't understand what you were doing behind me to hit that hay bail... sorry about that... that red flag came out at the wrong time.
Going to pass on this weekend, not enough surplus cash at the moment. See you at the Nats

Go for the GPR's mate. They're a lot cheaper and have the added benefit that you can flick em on trademe as they'll still have loads of tread left in the center Also they work well across a wider range of temperatures and pressures than slicks.
