    Possible F3 Bikes

Just been looking on tardme and found a few apparent bargains for those wanting a possible competitive entry into F3 racing.

    ZXR400 ready to go racing
    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...n-59481899.htm

ZXR400 Needs road gear removed, and a little work.

ZXR400 Race Bike + Everything you need
    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...n-60390174.htm

I would buy any one of them if had the money ready to go.

Callum at Mt Eden Motorcycles has his ZXR400 for sale, he's put a lot of work into it I think. Might be reasonably cheap too, not sure.

Also, you could buy the expensive one with all the spares, or you could buy the 2 cheap ones with no spares... just some good options

its um --well priced but not cheap.
Personally id toss the bike on the dyno at henderson Motorcycles and see if it can be turned into a fire breathing dragon

There are a lot of other 400's available on Trade Me but do not show up in the appropriate categories or with generic search keywords.

Browse through everything, there are a lot of ZXR 400's forsale cheap, a few pre-89's too.

sorting out shipping arrangements to get one from invercargill to auckland at the moment. Wont be highly competitive but it's enough to get some experience in the game.

Does anybody know what race class a 1987 2-stroke RG400 would fit into? (F3 or F2?)

i'd assume F2, i've only seen 2stroke 250's in F3, and they were road bikes, not RS/TZ race bikes.

Post Classic's - pre '89 would be a good class for it, as long as it is still pretty quick.
