Dale Kerrigan: If there's anything Dad loved more than serenity, it was a big two stroke engine on full throttle!
A miracle of MVXs?
Maybe just plain old impossible. I don't think they ever did manage to get more than one in the same place at the same time, hence the need for a word never arose.
Actually I lied: http://gin-en-shokai.com/mvx250f1.jpg

Add another MVX250F sucker to the 'rebuild & restore" group.
Here's one...me!![]()
Signature! What am I signing for now I can't afford!
[QUOTE=Scotty595;1130161054]Holy Shit. it's now @ $630... There must be a stash of coke in the tank.
Nope I checked!
The bidder that was pushing my bids up got removed by TM.
But would they drop my bids back to before the event...nope!
It goes ok though....I know most of the tricks to the MVX problems.
Also have a retired top NZ honda Mech man locally here who used to race them back in the day...also knows how to get them to powerband at just above 3thou.
Remember, check the water galleries on the rear cylinder..always!

[QUOTE=MVX250F;1130170886]Actually to be honest I paid $500 for mine and it wasn't original paint like that oneso not too bad overall. The price of them varies a lot from day to day. I guess it's how much you want to hold out for a cheap one. N if the pistons are all good then all the better.

Painted grab handles, battery box, kick lever. Cleaned Swingarm and engine, waiting till I manage to get the rear wheel off before I can polish that up. Thinking about taking some bits to get polished professionally and also some bits to be powdercoated (wheels, inboard disc cover, etc).
Anyone powder coated a frame before? Know the cost of it? Just wondering whether it would be worth doing since its pretty much down to frame anyway.
