Don't have any spare carbs that I don't need at the moment (maybe once the build is complete I would be able to reasses whether I have any bits I'm not using.)

How many in your group/bunch now mate?

Not sure what the right word is for more than one MVX

    A murder of crows

    A herd of cows

    A flock of sheep

    A ..............? of MVXs

There maybe a different word if there is more than one running and ridable MVX too

    A miracle of MVXs?

Maybe just plain old impossible. I don't think they ever did manage to get more than one in the same place at the same time, hence the need for a word never arose.

They might have got a bunch in the same place at one time but it is unlikely more than one of them actually went

    All in a nights work

Have stripped the bike back quite a bit tonight. It's pretty much good for cleaning everything now, which is what I'm stripping it down for. Not too worried about getting everything powdercoated etc as it's in pretty good condition at the moment - just dirty.

Blah No Coke in the Tank..I checked when I picked it up.

    Nope I checked!
The bidder that was pushing my bids up got removed by TM.
But would they drop my bids back to before the event...nope!
It goes ok though....I know most of the tricks to the MVX problems.
Also have a retired top NZ honda Mech man locally here who used to race them back in the day...also knows how to get them to powerband at just above 3thou.

Remember, check the water galleries on the rear cylinder..always!

Actually to be honest I paid $500 for mine and it wasn't original paint like that one so not too bad overall. The price of them varies a lot from day to day. I guess it's how much you want to hold out for a cheap one. N if the pistons are all good then all the better.

Painted grab handles, battery box, kick lever. Cleaned Swingarm and engine, waiting till I manage to get the rear wheel off before I can polish that up. Thinking about taking some bits to get polished professionally and also some bits to be powdercoated (wheels, inboard disc cover, etc).

Anyone powder coated a frame before? Know the cost of it? Just wondering whether it would be worth doing since its pretty much down to frame anyway.

Bro, blasting and powder coating my frame and swingarm came to a total of $160. And it's fucken MINT. NZ Soda Blasting in Upper Hutt looked after the whole shebang.

Shit... okay, that sounds like it's worth it then... any recommendations for somewhere in AKL? I assume ill need to take the swingarm and frame in in two pieces?
