"Won't somebody please think of the children?"
I don't see what is so dangerous about some cop cars driving around on a field of grass. The fact that the 'author' doesn't even know how to transfer video footage from a phone to a computer says a lot.
Hahaha... I think I saw these guys at Movieworld last year except the cop cars got up on 2 wheels for more of the show![]()
Good to see the police having some positive and fun interaction with the kids. The positive pay off in the future will far outweigh the moans of the waawaaawaaa brigade.
If he was concerned he should have stepped in and done something about it on the day.
Though you can imagine how the cops would get their pink panties in a twist when they see people howling up on a field, Never mind if they caught ya throwing it sideways past a bouncy castle full of kids.
Somebody obviously has never seen a correct "donut" being done!!
So driving around in circles is now doing a donut, get ready to lose you license going around a roundabout all you boy racers.
Had turbulant (sp) relationship with the police in my younger days but prob would of had a lot respect for them when I was younger if I saw them as normal people instead of "the guys making me donate my hard earned moolah to the coffers" that I used to think.
Then I got older and realized I Earned every ticket I got and got let off more than I received.
Good On them I say. Didn't see any outta control moments.

I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!
You and I do that on the road and it's loss of licence. Those who think that this is acceptable need to look up the act and find out what constitutes a roadway.
Bet the groundsman was pleased. He after all is the one who has to fix up the mess.
Skyryder
Free Scott Watson.
If I was there, I'd have paid $10 a piece to the school fundraiser for them to do a circuit with the kids buckled in in the back.

And that's how politically correctness was born...
Because of guys like him in the states now you can't even help an accident victim for fear or legal repercussions. Those guys were just trying to help out the community - help a fund raiser and improve the kids's image of police officers. Their intentions were clearly good and I don't believe there was any serious danger to the public. Yes, things could have been done better, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be congratulated for doing a good thing for their community. However, with the help of the media they will most likely be made scape goats and punished harshly for this.
Things like this will make our police as impersonal ans ruthless as in other countries (can anyone say US?) from fear of being punished of non-pc behaviour or some other bullshit label.
1. There was no drifting. They were just driving on the grass. In a couple of points the rear wheels slipped a bit, but almost not noticeable. As far as I can tell from the footage, in none of the turns near the bouncy castle the cars skidded.
2. If the guy was so concerned, how come he not only didn't do anything but was ok to wait for almost two years until "he learned how to download his phone memory"
As far as I am concerned, he can just f**k off. If he was genuinely concerned he would have talked to the cops on the spot or even get the video out ASAP. The fact that he waited for almost two years proves that this is only a publicity stunt, or even worse, he has a beef with the police currently and realised this is the best way of getting back at them.
Don't see the problem, cars weren't skidding, no one close by, kids inside them probably had a real blast and video was captured over a year ago...
Maybe the videoer was just pissed he didn't get a turn! But ya gotta luv the 'unbiased' reporting eh.. Herald's usual journalistic integrity... or is that poetic licence
Man there're some PC idiots out there.

Agree with the general comments here! No opposite locking, no evidence of loss of traction, they kept well apart at all times and there wasn't one "donut" as accussed.
There was no evidence of Skidding near the bouncy castle as asserted by Mc Gregor. And the camera angle made it look a lot closer than it probably was.
They do get more driver training than most of us and gave the kids a little excitement.
My thought was it was a bit of a set up with the "mind that child" slogan on the back of the whippy van appearing strategically in the vid every few secs.
If he was that concerned he would have stepped a few paces forward and got some unobstructed footage.
The event was 2 years ago you say, doesn't take me 2 years to get pissed off about something. What a load of shit!
Hidden agenda here me thinks!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
