Is my battery a maintenance-free battery?

Bit of a curly question without being able to see the battery - but here goes ...

Ripped the flat battery out of the Mrs new purchased 50 - Its a AERO 12V YT4L?E?S (? = can't make out the number or letter) has a rubber seal on top that says DO NOT OPEN and on the back it says DO NOT PULL OFF SEALED CAPS, with safety glasses pulled the long rubber cap off and there's no acid covering the pots.

Is battery buggered or is this the set up of maintenance free batteries ? Want to bang it on the charger but thought would check first in case ended up frying it cause it actually needed some water added ?

Most modern motorcycle batteries use absorbed fibre cells- no you DO NOT fill them "to cover the plates" like old style batterys. I suggest recharging at 1 amp.

Cheers Chaplin - that's good confirmation, only got a cheap warehouse charger that doesn't put out much - Perfect
