    Hey Ya'll (ScarFace)

    Hi all,

I posted agggggggggggggggges ago about my olds not letting me get a motorbike, the deal was If I get one I have to move out.

I relented, I didnt wana give up living at home, honestly I have it pretty sweet.

But I couldn't shake the idea of owning a motorbike, so against their wishes I bought one anyways, well legally its a "Moped" (49CC) but technically its a motorbike (Manual clutch, gears etc).

This is my "Middle ground approach" http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-262828377.htm

So this is my first step in getting a proper motorbike, I figure Il learn all the skills I need on this, get my licences and upgrade when I move out.

See you all on the flats (My bike hates hills).

Goodonyer, but what did the folks say? Honda have long been in partnership with Jialing in China and have been getting their small engines manufactured by Jialing for years so hopefully they should be okay...

Folks weren't too happy, as soon as they found out for the first time they told me to start making plans to move out, but I gave them some time and they came back with an idea to make everyone happy.
I can keep the bike and live at home as long as I make a written list of safety precautions I will take on the bike to "Curve their anxiety".

So things like: Wearing a high-vis jacket, taking some bike safety courses etc etc.

    Working on the list now

When I was your age my mum said "No bikes while you live under my roof".
I moved out the next day.

Thankfully when it came to me getting a motorbike, my older brother had been riding for awhile so it was more of a grumble than being threaten to be thrown out

Once your've been riding for a while and got some skills and confidence you should be able to get a bigger bike

I found it easy to get one years ago when fuel prices shot up. "But Muuuuuuuum... I can't afford to drive to school in the car!"
