Hey Everybody,
My name is Sam, I am living in Upper Hutt, Married for 5 years, will be 28 in june, and I ahve 2 awesome lil girls, 7 and nearly 2yo.
My riding history is pretty empty for the last 12 years, but when i was a teenager, at Marlborough Boys College in Blenheim, they ahve this great wee weekend Trailriding club, basicly its an opportunity for mates at school to ride as mates on weekend, with dads in tow, and over time you graduate off the Clubs AG175, CT125s, XL125/185s and get your own bike, and thats how I started.
not long after this my father bought the local Driving school, along with teh 2 x ER185s they had for learners, these became the 2 sluts in my Teenage 3somes, and I raped them Harrrd.
My grandfather at this time decided (at 67) to get a Dirtbike and come along too, and after the 1st time out on his steel tank XT550 (1983ish) he bought a much lighter 1981 TT250, and I rode the XT on most rides. Dad had a classic TT500 1977 in full off road trim (absolute animal bikes, but ooooh the power) and of course every 2weeks was teh Basic Skills Course for Learner riders, which I did about 200 odd times (go on, test me)
But then I left home at around 17, moved to CHCH, got into Cars and Boyracing, thought I was the coolest C*nt around in an Auto Primera, and gotr myself in no-end of shit.
Late last year I sold my Project car, an EF9 Vtec Civic 1990, which was an absolute mental little car, being around 170hp and less than a Tonne in weight, but as wifey said
"You drive like a dick, you cant just drive normally!!" so i sold it, and Wifey gave me an allowance of $500 to get a bike.
after hunting for a while I stumbled upon Drew Mears who had "Some crappy DR350 in teh shed, doesnt go too well, and its leaking oil badly from the rocker cover, you wont be able to do a wheelie until teh carb is cleaned"
well, when I went to see it, he hadnt been able to start it, so he cleaned the carby, and I was able to pop a nick 2nd gear lifter down teh street in The Bronx of Taita.
Sammy was a happy camper, Drew was a bit gutted as it wasnt as bad as he thought, but he stayed true to his word on the Price ($600) and later in the week he said "make it $500 and 2 doz heinekins for me and my mate"
I could kiss the guy, I really could...
so thats me, im here, and will be riding eventually
cheers
sam
