Why are Italians considered 'white people' when there skin is very brown, hell their skin is the same colour as Maori.
They aren't considered white people
lol really? Why are you embarrassed? Why am I stupid? You have to be born in England to be English, Germany to be German, so I would be very surprised if there are many Brits or Germans in our correctional facility... Why are you pointing it out? Are you saying that all the Maoris in jail are English or German? That it a little strange considering they have most likely never ventured into Europe
I am embarrised for you because normally you say smart educated opinions and can keep it up with the adults on here, this question well its comical.
Lets see here, by your logic every blonde haired blue eyed chick that walks around the mall with caramel skin is Maori? Every hot chick that goes to the beach is Maori? Every brown person wearing a turban is Maori? Every brown person working as affairs ministers for the Indian community are Maori?
And even though you have white skin, you arent a white person if you havent been born in your 'white country' or visited it?
But then the ultimate truth, if there's no such thing as Maori people.......then what does it matter if the person IS brown. Hook, line, Sinker.
Dean, you suffer from some kind of disorder. Here it is so I don't need to explain this any more:
If you're white and born in New Zealand, you are a New Zealander or to categorize you, "pakeha", not a German or Englishman.
If you are of Maori anscestry born in New Zealand, you are a New Zealander, to categorize you, "Maori", according to other Maori and every person in this country
If you have white skin, than you have white skin... Do I really need to explain this? If you are white, you are white, it makes no difference where you have been.
People wearing turbans are usually not Maori, and I don't know why you would think I would think they are. I am seriously wondering if you have some disorder that makes you drastically misread anything set out in front of you? How is that my logic? My logic is that white people in NZ aren't european, they weren't born in Europe, they are defined as Pakeha. Why would I call anyone with a tone of skin Maori? I'll call them that if they ARE maori.... Is this really so confusing?
My response was far fetched because your queston was purely idiotic.
Your logic is like if if an atheist walks into a church and that straight away makes him a Catholic.
Because my Ancestors lived in germany longer then anyone therefore they and there offspring (me) reserve the right to be called German because ever since the country was called Germany they were inhabitants!!
If a African American goes into Germany, he is a resident in Germany, he lives in Germany, but is not German!
WOW....
Black, white, brown, yellow, green...
We are all one. Human. (well cept for green maybe)
Just be glad your not Aboriginal, they have had it alot worse than Maori
Actually, so have the American Indians.
im not a pakeha im a european
get over yourselves!!
As NZers, we are all imported from somewhere else
But according to chief supervisor of all things modern biology none of us are actually NZers, just Germans Englishman and "Hawiikians"? Dean, go call yourself and all your mates German to the next German tourist, they'll either tell you that you aren't or just laugh. If we all called ourselves what our ancestors were we'd all be african! But to answer your example - An african man would be still african in germany, because he was born in africa. However, if he was born in germany, but had african parants for example, he wouldn't be african, he'd be German
I would laugh at you if you were born in Tonga and call yourself a 'Tongan' or born in Samoa so you call yourself 'Samoan'.
Because to be a 'tongan' is what the indigineous people are - so you arent, but according to your logic you have to be because of nationality.
You would be a citizen of Samoa, a tax paying citizen.
Hey Dean - are you not supposed to be in school at this hour of the day - or are you wagging already?
