There is no doubt that TCWNR has evolved. The slower rides and variation in routes have gone. BuckBuck#1 Tuesday ride has merit as a ride for new riders. I feel there is less risk to me on the Thursday ride and will fit them in when I can. I will be at the back and arrive late but not be concerned I am going to be carved up.
    Here for the ride.

Yeah cheers for putting on this practice ride Guy. The speed was just right for a rider on an unknown patch of road and I for one feel a lot more confident going into Tuesdays ride knowing what's ahead.

Very worth while and good times were had all round.

I hope the weekend ride is a Saturday!
Weekend rides - Saturday - Done between now and end of daylight saving 3 April 2009. I will look at the Tuesday and Wednesday Daylight saving program and tgake from this to do the Saturday program. Will post up Saturday 27 Feb ride (edit will now be a Sunday ride 28 Feb this week only) during the week, we can all chat it over on Tuesday.

Chain lube, I forgot to mention, I actually wipe down my chain and re-lube between 450km-650km. The paddock stand is a real bonus.

No sweat Jarrod, on the Tuesday ride the main hazard will be oncoming traffic. I am glad you you enjoyed the ride and with your restricted lcence now you will gradually build up your riding skills.

I'm enjoying riding with this bunch. All good folk and at a good learning pace.

    Cracker day for it too.
Take it easy on that wee cruiser going up the Blue Mountains Road, and if you decide not to carry on up Whitemans Valley and do turn around and head back down Blue Mountains be vigilant with oncoming traffic snaking up the hill can quickly appear.

Cheers Dennis thanks for the comment. I noted that you often took up TEC on numerous WNCR rides too. With only six weeks before the end of daylight saving, you may want to bring your ' Busa' along on one of the Tuesday rides and with Toaster's 'Busa'. The novice riders can for the moment but only dream.

Noted. Took on the Rimutakas today and headed over to Lake Ferry. Was a great ride. Great to see lots of bikes out on the road.

Did you go around Lake Wairarapa? (If not than next time perhaps try it out, be mindful of stray stock, oncoming traffic and narrowing road section on western side.)
