There's no scope for women's leather gear... why aren't we important?

looked on the net for some decent womens leather jacket...just to see whats out there. Its the price and style that fucks me over royally...I'm lookin for the perfect jacket around the $250 range....its like lookin 4 the perfect guy.. I know..I know therez no such thing as the perfect guy, I mean therez beta chance finding big foot. Point is, there so much style and range when it comes to mens leather jackets... some of the jackets affordable in my range is some light pink shit jacket. Fuck pink aye...I'm not pissed off...I'm happy riding my bike not wearing leathers, as long as I'm riding its fine.

my 2cents worth of venting...feelz gud.
perfect guy would be: one that cooks, one the cleans, one that takes me out shopping.....and they should neva meet.

$250 is a pretty small budget for a quality leather jacket imo. You might want to look at spending some more, I mean how often do you buy one? Once every few years? Pretty good value for money when you look at it that way.

Like onearmbandit said $250 ain't much for agood jacket. If you like the guys jackets , just get one of them ,as long as it ,fits properly( I know you's has different bits from us guys) but you may still find something you like that fits in your budget. Be careful out there, skin versus road looses everytime.

There will never be a "Perfect" ladies leather jacket, not while the manufacturer is manufactureing protective gear and women are shopping for fashion items that will make a 75kg frame look 57kg

two girlie friend met after a few years and began discussing boy friends...one of them had two boyfriends....Theres Jake, that cooks, cleans, takes me out shopping, listens to me when I am down and leaves the seat down.....and I have Ben.

Goodness says the friend, Jake sonds fantastic, why bother with Ben?

    Ben?...well he is straight....

Not an easy mission that one, have a look at
    www.lifestyle-imports.co.nz

They make a lovely womans jacket, actually cut to female shape.

I just bought a very nice rev-it ladies jacket...$700 but well worth. Unless I balloon in size it will be lasting be ages, bar slding down the road in it which I hope never to do. I think when you're buyin a jacket that will protect you in a fall/slide then money shouldn't be the issue. Might just take a bit longer to pay for.

good luck with your search for the perfect man...the perfect one for you

Went out there in the weekend with a lady friend who was looking for both jacket and pants.
Nothing looked even half decent. It was a terrible cut and style. She left with nothing and ended up spending an extra $150 at motomail for a real good fitting jacket.
That seemed to be money well spent in my opinion.

I'm actually quite impressed with how much womens gear there is out there, some shops don't stock a lot, but it is definitely available on the market, especially when you weigh up demand compared to guys stuff. Personally when buying bike gear I go for what fits and does the job within a price range (I would expect to pay at least $500 for a good leather jacket, and that would be a bargain, more like $800), so I often end up buying guys gear anyway, still fits good and will do the job as I'm not concerned about having pretty pink writing on it telling the world it's an Alpinestars jacket or whatever.
Check out some stores online and see what's available then ask your local bike shop if they would be able to get it in for you (or import it yourself, shhhhhh, I didn't say that).
    Good luck.

Up The budget or you will end up with some crap jacket that will have all of these issues

    1/ Poor leather grade
2/ Bad stitching number and thread type
3/ Non Skin safe chemicals for the tanning process (this is a biggy sweat inside a jacket treated with shit chemicals and you are going to get a nasty rash)
    4/ Counterfeit CE armor

    etc

You need to spend more sorry
Ive run out of fucks to give

There is a lot of gear out there in shops that are not that expensive, not well advertised either ... which keeps the price down. The best idea is actually get out and look in all the bike shops ... which is half the fun of buying new gear ... isn't it ... ???

Either that or Trade Me ...

Do you have to have leather? I got my dodura tecknic jacket about 5 years ago. It has survived a fair few incidents and is still going fine. I paid between $200-$250 for that.
Stop looking for the perfect guy and you'll find him!

Mate don't compromise your skin and bones by budgeting for $250, if you have to pay something off for quality and protection then do it.

I used to wear a cheap nice looking jacket that would've done nothing If I'd impacted the road, and my leather pants looked great, but again no protection from slow speed slides or high speed.

I know better now, and never again will I compromise my safety and my life over a few dollars - when I am the sole Master of it.
There is a good range of chicky gear, go out and check your local shops...

Oh yea, good luck in finding the perfect guy...... (What str8 said)
