    Pre 89

In Rule 25-2-3 in the MNZ rule book it states "APE and MTC and similar Big Block after-market engine blocks are prohibited" which appears clear cut but this line appears after the line Carbon Fibre and Kevlar are prohibited in Pre 72 and Pre 82 and before the line that states Carbon fibre and Kevlar are permitted for Pre 89. So does this mean Big Blocks are permitted in Pre 89?
May be I should put this to MNZ to clarify this?

That rule appears in the general "preamble" covering all ages, before the specifics of each age group, (ie pre 72, pre 82 and pre89).

Thus they are illegal in all age groups including pre 89.

Big bores are fine. aftermarket cyclinder blocks which are designed for massive capacities in Drag racing aren't. Was done to keep costs down.
