Theres an easy way to do it, as usual.
Locate the adjusters and set them so theres no slack. Loosen the axle nut just a turn, and tighten each side adjuster just a half turn each, and then tighten the axle nut. Now recheck the chain tension.
Don't try to adjust the tensioners repeatedly to "get it right". You will overshoot it for sure, and then its a cunt of a job.
