    Introducing myself (WaihekeJerry)

    hiya,

i just joined KB, though i better be polite cos my mum says I should always be polite.

i'm jerry, from waiheke, drive a blackbird cos i'm rather addicted to the erm, responsiveness, and also an MZ250 cos it sounds nice and has more character per dollar than any other bike i've owned.

i'm currently trying to make the blackbird more comfy, so any advice regarding handlebar position, seat comfort and screens would be much appreciated.

    cheers

Welcome aboard. Must say I feel a Blackbird, while a very nice bike, would be somewhat of an overkill for Waiheke...

For comfort, you could turn it into a C50T...

Of course the Bird would eat it in second gear, but I have to say it's the best bike I've ever owned! I can commute, tour and, if you'll not laugh too loud, have a blast on it, all the the tune of around 60mpg.

One trip with mates on a GSX1400 and 1200S Bandit, resulted in the GSX rider asking if it was a thou and when I said it was only an 805, he asked if I'd hotted it up! That was after doing the Coro loop and back to Kaiawa.

I can ride it all day and the only thing it really needs is a better pillion perch as the Missus is gettin' old now and needs a cushier seat...

Welcome Matey - I wonder if (m)any other KB'ers are on the Island.....

I must say I can understand your choice of both bikes - any pics?

    Have fun
