Ahh nope. Thats for Cbr/ZXR old 4 pot 250's. THis is for 250 twins (kawasaki, hyosung ect). These are streetstock legal beasts. Slowly starting to make the rounds.
rules can be found in CH22 of MNZ rules book. http://www.motorcyclingnz.co.nz/down...roke_Twins.pdf

Yip and weve got fibreglass racefairing kits for them already as well as the Hyosung GT250
I might as well take this opportunity to announce a Partnership with Northwest Motorcycles here in New Plymouth,
for me to ride a Hyosung GT250r (carb model) this season.
I will be at Manfield next weekend riding it (for the first time on track) as a demo against the 4 cylinder 250's, which will be a difficult ask. But we look forward to helping build this Pro lites class in NZ.
Sponsors will be :
Northwest Motorcycles
DP Brakes
Motorex oils
See you out there!

Racey.
Sounds like a typical streetstock race here in NZ too. Hope you continue to be pro-active at work..................lostinfly!
Again, Minilites is for MULTI cylinder bikes, ie 2 or more.
And YES, they do run the class in both VMCC and PMCC rounds.
Now, Racey Racer is at the National round next weekend, so, unsure what classes they have going.... Most likely all the usual VMCC classes.
Hey, I'm just helping out on the day. Not much to do with the organising of it prior....
It'll be good to see a Hyosung out there side by side with some good existing Streetstock bikes.
Through the 9 races of Streetstock in the SI Nationals the two Kawasakis went really well. Seth Devereux
(Kawasaki EX250) won two races at Teretonga, one by a tiny margin from Johnny Small. Seth is an
awesome rider, so is Johnny, but I'd pick the EX as about 98% of an RG in terms of all round
competitiveness. Where will the Hysosung fit in?
