    Talking I'm a proud mum!

I just have to show off!!
While my mates moan about their teenagers all the time, my 16 year old must be the coolest kid on the planet.

In the last month he has....

    passed his NCEA
    passed his restricted licence
lent his mum $200 to get her car fixed
been accepted into an Automotive Course at MIT
gained a grant to pay his $5500 fees
paid for his own steelcap boots for his course
    mowed the lawns several times
helped with the food prep for his brothers 21st
told his Mum she's beautiful when she felt down
    and the list goes on.

    How lucky am I?????

Sounds like a good kid, well done! Parenting is a tough job...

There are some good teenagers out there - my son and his circle of mates are considerate, pleasant, (reasonably) hard-working, (reasonably) fun-loving, well-mannered, motivated young ladies and men. Most of the time...

What a wonderful mum you must be to have wonderful offspring like that!

Lovely to hear proud parents being able to say how truly awesome their kids are.

Sounds like he's got a very level head and is very considerate of others, both good traits to have.

What she said! Well done you!
There are some awesome teenagers out there...but they don't usually get any publicity!

That's awesome dudette, was thinking earlier that I'm quite proud of my blokes too, they're not teenagers - but my oldest has been to hell, and then he came back, and is doing so well at school, that he received a principals award for leadership and excelling in all subjects - top 'o the class, kicks butt at sports, witty, and really empathetic with his mates and family. Long may it last!

Achievement is not always success while reputed failure often is. It is honest endeavor, persistent effort to do the best possible under any and all circumstances.
