Quite an interesting vehicle, I'd love to ride one

I have noticed that, even though we get excited about all these shit cars, no-one is excited about the SD1. That was BL crap at it finest!
I don't like them at all, uglier than a P6, slower than a high-comp P6, built poorly and only 150hp from the 3.5
I would however own a twin plenum one. To put the heads in a real car.

Does anyone have a soft spot for the SD1 or amusing stories/facts?

A few people have rebuilt them into quite fine road cars.

I have seen a few neat examples. I don't like the look, interior and rear suspension though.

Never been a fan of the Rovers, just a bit too big for me really.

But I can certainly see the appeal

I've never been a big car fan with the exception of Jags and BMW's....I was surprised how small the P6 actually is, no wonder they were well loved back when those fullas were warming their hands on fires and swearing at Thatcher.

Good thing it has a seatbelt aye!

But legally you wouldn't have to keep it on it would you? as it's been rego'd as a motorcycle?

About the only thing I would bo with a SD-P6 would be to strip the heads and use them on my V8 Landy.

Why not just smack a 4.4 in it? With P6 or SD1 injected heads?
