OK boys, this should get your gonads rattlin'.

    The ultimate east-west Leyland car.

    A nice example too.

Launching this vehicle on the Australian market was the personification of pearls before swine.

Didn't recognize the name, but google just confirmed what I thought, it's an Austin Kimberley!

Which was of course a variant of the ADO17, AKA Austin/Morris 1800 Wolseley 18/85.

That is a very tidy looking car!

Kimberley had twin carbs, Tasman only had one.

Both very comfortable tourers with buckets of room.

    And FWD awesomeness!

Looks way tidier then my Wolseley. Will need to make more progress!

Need to get my seats sorted as well as the dash and the inside will be looking pretty good

And the Kimberley had four rectangular headlights, Tasman two round ones.

A mate back in the early '80's had a Kimberley. Dark metallic blue and he was as fussy an owner as you get. The car was immaculate and every day it looked like it had just come off the showroom floor!

My boss was, in an earlier life, a rally driver. He reckons the Kimberley was quicker point to point than a Jag of the same vintage.

    What a mad bugga.

I doubt you would get away with that nowadays.
