    Beat me to it!

If it's not too rusty: I quite fancy the pre-boxy shapes Ford MKIII Cortina

I was buying a house many years ago and the guy selling offered me his Morgan. He explained that he's had a Ford 2.8i engine fitted and he'd spent the past 4 months meticulously replacing every nut and bolt with a rivet. It seemed too cheap to be true and he wouldn't tell me why he was selling it (considering how much money he's spent). I couldn't really afford it anyway. He took me for a drive and it was quite wonderful.

It turned out that he was dying and just wanted to liquidate all of his assets. I wondered why he let us have so much furniture for so little.

The moral of the story for me was to try harder to recognise outstanding opportunities when they so rarely materialise and to not let them pass so easily

I nearly brought a TR7 hardtop. I would own one in the future perhaps

Make sure it has a rover 3.5L in it!

    Edit:

And I even like the colour

The Fiat X19's engine won't let you down. The rust will though.

That Green TR7 looks like it's had a pretty good paint job. The convertable is however a much more solid drive.

The V8 lump works well, but don't discount Triumph's 1800cc lump. Seems reasonable in everything else and will let you use it as a runabout, rather than a gas guzzling war machine

mmmm so who wants to buy me that TR7? lol

YD, yeah I agree, I'd be quite happy with the stock engine. Or even better, toss in a 1800 B series in
