Funny you should say that, mine should be the 'normal' set-up like on the Maxi, but some muppet of a mechanic decided to make them cross-over between my ownership periods.

I'm hoping he's only flipped the wheel box over, but I haven't had the chance to check as I need to remove the dash and that's a hassle, not to mention it needs a sand and varnish so will want to do both at the same time etc.

I did a double take at the picture, but wrote it off to BMC idiosyncrasy.

On the Marina, they decided to do a left-hand drive wiper sweep pattern for the right-hand drive cars - something to do with aerodynamics? No-one could work out why - the bloody car was as aerodynamic as brick...

My Anglias wipers go the 'wrong' way.

yet they had to change the wipers from left-hand drive style to right-hand drive style on my F100?

Same doors, different handles. The design brief was to make totally new car from the ground up....but you have to use the doors from the 1800 because we haven't finished paying for them yet. We can laugh now, but when you are strapped for cash you have to make savings somewhere. Can't trim the office staff or cut the salary of the board members.

Pretty much lol, it's just funny when you look at the two cars next to one another, same mid section, but everything else is different.

The Maxi was a car that was pretty good for the time, 5 speed box, hatch back, hydrolastic suspension....

Like the crab I think they've aged well and make good practical classics. I also told him that if he were to sell it, I am to get first call on it lol

I was passing through Shannon on Saturday and noticed a pretty derelict Riley Elf sitting in the front yard of a pretty derelict house (looks abandoned). Might be available for the taking if anyone wants to enquire. Across the road from the Mobil station, toward the pub.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
