    Key at his best

Sounds not that good but the important part of Key at his hypocritical best is crystal clear. Espicialy the bit when he can't answer his own hypocracy.

Hard road being a politician! You will always find situations like this and there is no right answer. The guy had a good way of putting him on the spot even tho it looked like he was about to lose his rag. I didn't vote for him but we will never know, or can ever know how better or worse a labour govt would have done in this climate.
My advise? Do more cashies and give ACC the min you possibly can!

Funny, everyone wants higher wages but no one wants to pay the prices for goods that will go with them, we already have high prices due to the small volume of sales due to low population versus high compliance costs and higher wages than many parts of the world - just check out any thread on KB about the "cheap stuff you can buy overseas" and "what ripoffs NZ dealers and distributors are". Higher minimum wages will only push everything else up exponentially, doesn't concern me because I'm happy to pay a slightly higher price for many things and enjoy the relative lack of people and traffic, great scenery, beaches and everything else we enjoy about NZ. But you can already hear the moaning and wailing about higher prices coming.... and what about the incentive to improve your lot and get a better, higher paid job and so on?
    Hypocritical wankers.

There is a serious school of thought who shares you views. While Key has a large majority many of the seats could go to Labour with a small swing within the electorate. I've got some info on this somewhere on the my PC. When I get sometime I 'llsee if i can find it.

Girl gets $44 for 9 hours work? How old is she and what is she doing?

Good Dad supports her working. Pity if it costs him $x to and from to drop her off / pick her up.

Still, she's getting work experience and hopefully a reference for her next (better paying job).

I remember getting $2.87 per hour at Meadow Mushrooms - was many years ago though!

There's probably more than a grain of truth in that statement. Sad thing is that not one of the current political parties instil much confidence in me, there's some good people scattered here and there but they stand out like gems in a sea of shit, but mostly they are just swimming against the tide.

While I hate politicians, the guy key is talking to in this vid is a knob.
Why does his daughter get $9/hr:
    - She is young
    - She is unskilled
    - The job does not require skills
    - The job is only available at $9/hr
    - If minimum wage was increased she may lose her job

Politicians are not super-human. In-fact they are barely human. To assume a politician will fix all his daughters problems tells me he lacks he core fundamentals to help his daughter in the first place.
Good they are working, bad that they assume the world owes them one.

As soon as my kids are born, im putting 20 dollers a week away into a bank account for them, till they either go to uni, or get an apprenticeship.
210 dollers a week doesnt sound like much, But add that up every week for 18ish years and that comes to a fair bit when you add taxes.

That should cover there uni expense and all that jazz.

That goes to show that it only took 9 years for the electorate to realise what a pack of thieving liars were at the top of the pile. And if it weren't for their political acumen at lying and abusing the Green Party and the Maori Party they would have been gone LONG ago.

Not such a big fan of John Key, but he is polling rather well and overall, if you check the various polls done ranging from Average Annual Mood through to the Preferred PM, Direction, etc. polls he is doing damn well. I suspect his recent direction shift on GST will affect things a bit though.

Enough to see Labour get back in? Fucking hope not. Last thing we need now when the country is beginning to recover is another Tax'n Splurge type government that will lie and steal from New Zealand.

P.S. Here is another reason why he resonates reasonably well with the average voter. He's almost normal and not ashamed of being human. And at least he drew it himself, unlike that other painting ...

I'm not convinced of that - with Phil Goff polling below "Margin of Error" in the Preferred PM stakes.

The trouble with Goff is that he sounds exactly like Helen Clark did. Even pauses in the middle of his sentances like she does

"The National Party. Has betrayed ordinary. New Zealanders. With this current policy."

And the same head movements when he pauses. It's a uncanny.

I'm not sure that Labour has anyone to put up in 2011 - well, anyone who wants the job right now. I suspect they're all waiting for Goff to lose 2011 to challenge for the leadership going into 2014.

Which is bad news for Labour voters, of course, but meh.

The voters were bought at the last election that Liarbour "won". Remember the promised tax-cuts by cullen? A packet of chewing gum... in 3 years time!
