    Mint day of racing!!
Thanks to all you kind folks who came out and spent some time flagging for us, you guys rock!!
Hope all the walking wounded are doing ok, remember, if it's not feeling better tomorrow it may pay to go fill in an ACC form (and say you fell off a ladder or similar non-motorcycle related activity).
I now have slicks on my bike, the tread has disappeared and there's more rubber on them now than there was this morning! I kept wondering what the grotty noise from my front wheel was every time I went round a right-hand corner, then I realised it was the extra rubber rubbing on my mudguard. I think Rangi needs a shave.
Hope to see some of you at Taumarunui, otherwise next time. Have some photos from the last race, so if you want to see the ones of you, let me know.

Yeah it was a good day, surprised more didn't show up. Might be a while before I'm back in the saddle after plate is removed next week, but hope to make it to ride Easter meet. I had the realisation yesterday that the hard front plates of body armour may have dug in & contributed to breaking the bone where it did near the shoulder.

That was some full on racing. I had a blast. Also got the bike tune almost spot on. Who would have thought a little bucket could throw a big fella like me that far. I tried to open the video file of the crash but no go. Hamish will have to describe what he saw. Leg is really bung but can't wait to get back out there. The pace seems to keep getting turned up everyone is going faster. I will post the video footage of the other races tonight.

Cheers to everyone for a great day on and off the track.

Well I'm not getting faster, I've got slower, I'm backing off & changing down in places I used to hold open.

But at least I've got to the bottom of the issue with the bike when I changed back to my old faithful carb. I might try to resurrect the more recent one with some dirty engineering.
Glad no one was particularly hurt.

The same thing happened to me after I binned it at Paeroa.

I'll go through them tonight and pick out some goodish ones. I was only standing at pit wall facing into the sun, so they're not that flash, but the action still shows. I was trying to get a good pic of you just about lying on the track as you come round that corner Hamish, but you pick the bike back up so quick that most are either blurry or you're already upright again, but hopefully there'll be something decent.
