Question Frame compliance in Wellington for re-vin

    Hey All,

Been a while since I've been on here but since I now have a bike which goes (sort of), figured I should have a look around.

Anyway, I bought a dereged (by insurance company) bike which I want to re-vin.

From what I gather I have a few steps to go through.

    1. Get peper signed by cops to say its not of interest.
    2. Get local bike shop to check brakes are all ok.

and now number 3. Get the frame checked out by someone to say its all ok.

THis part I'm stuck on so far, does anyone know who does these in Wellington?

    Cheers

Dude have a cerefull read of this http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ke-on-the-road

Its NOT just the frame that gets checked. Its the structural "triangle" of the bike

If you phone the number listed you will get the phone number of the local MOTORCYCLE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER who will measure the bike and tell you what you must do to put it on the road. (if at all)
Give me a day or two and the thread will be ammended to include contact details for the engineers nation wide
