Sounds like a good idea to me.

Little cunts driving round and round and round with their bean can exhausts and loud radios really piss me off.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

Just ignore them bro. When they write a ticket, laugh at them and throw it in the bin.

Don't get upset bro -thats what they are trying to do. Go back to your cool life and give them the finger.

I think the law is designed to address a patrticular age group with a certain type of vehicle

I think it would most likely be used as a tool by police to pummell boy racers more when they want them to fuck off home at night.. If your out cruising around and not being a cock I dont think there would be much of a problem..

Would never have been made illegal if the "car enthusiasts" had not gone out of their way to annoy the voting public.

    Daft bastards (the "car enthusiasts".)

Lets just hope we can endear the voting public to our ACC cause (rather than piss them off and force the gubbermint to be nasty to us for votes)

Note the use of inverted commas. I am of course referring to boi ricers and not to REAL car enthusiasts like myself who appreciate Jags, Lambos, Ferraris, Koenigseggs, McLaren F1s and other tasty pieces of performance metal.

You're probably right (in theory) but don't put it past some over-zealous revenue gatherer to ticket someone in a lowered whatever who has just done their second lap looking for a park.

However, I'd say for the most part the cops will be targeting those who push the envelope. Best just to avoid them.

Umm, the laws are actually not forbidding cruising, just allowing for bylaws banning cruising to be made. Those bylaws havent yet been made, so at the moment you're still sweet. And it specifically mentions you have to be cruising in a style intended to draw attention to the noise or power of your vehicle, so unless ur dragging from one set of lights to the next you should be sweet anyways

    Car crushing law

Finally passed the bill! The cars will be crushed...but only if there are 3 serious offences in 4 years! It is expected 10 cars per year will be crushed.

Is it just me, or does this law miss the mark somewhere, I mean, 10 cars per year? The american government puts down more prisoners per year than that.
    This is who we are

Heres some scary news about the new Law.

You can be pinged "driving - cruising" the is no where in the act that it states this is for "cars" alone.
Poker runs and rides could be classed as a cruise.

Also there is no definition of the 3 offences before they can take your (car-bike) this pretty much means 3 speeding tickets in a 4 year time frame and you to could have your car or bike crushed.

This act is wide open and messy as hell, I,m on both sides of the fence as i have been known to be in the "boyracer scene" and also ride bikes.

I have meet to many young bullet proof police men to put my faith in a open ended sentance like "cruising in a style intended to draw attention to the noise or power of your vehicle"

As i just pointed out, cruising is defined as
repeated circling of the same section of road in a manner that draws attention to the power or noise of a vehicle.
And as for the crushing, the judges will require serious offences, so it wont be speeding. It'll be dangerous driving, reckless driving, intentional loss of traction, etc that get cars crushed.

And thats why the police have an appeals and internal inquiry process. I've met several reasonable cops who no doubt would never actually end up pulling anyone up for "cruising".
