this time at secondary school.
Mr13 got dealt to by pair of boys in his form. Knocked out, bruised face/temple, kicked in guts and knee. HAd to stop my day and take him to AnE to get him checked. He's home now with mild concussion, vision has settled to normal and he has just had a bit to eat. Im picking he'll be ok, but it's still a head injury so Im keeping an eye on him.

Fortunatly school is onto it and Im happy they are going to do the right thing. ie stand the boys down for a short time and then do what they are calling a restorative action on the boys part.



Meetings with parents of kids and me then I get to have my say to the boys.

so, had a brief and pointed set of words with them as they were getting marched into the office, but what sorts of things should i be saying when I get my chance next week? Im too angry to say anything sensible right now, but should be calmer by then.

Don't say anything.They will be expecting that sort of slap on the wrist.
Instead, swing a sack full of doorknobs into their faces.They won't expect that.
You will get into trouble,but it will be so satisfying and will have a beneficial effect.
Bullies need to experience getting fucked up,it will be good for them.

Make no mistake, if they're hitting him in the head to give him a concussion, then they're hitting him hard enough to kill him. Better them than him I say, but he's your son and I'm sure merely being the bigger man will work out really well with teenage boys

if you read the posts you will see he actually WAS trying to defend himself from one of the boys. the damage was done when the other one jumped in to'assist' his mate. being bigger doesnt help when its 2 on 1.

Yeah, but if you read mine, you'd see I'm an advocate for him never giving them a chance to assist each other. Self defence is great, but if he swings first in the right way, it'll be the only time he ever has to.

Quite frankly, i dont need to hear your opinion again. I am prepared to give you some leeway and assume that you are posting in an attempt to help. I will tell you very clearly, I dont agree with you and you are adding to my distress by continuing to post in this thread. I'd appreciate you just leaving now and finding a thread where you will be able to offer help.

I know that this thread started about you looking for help for your son and his wellbeing. Plenty has been said (some good / some bad) about ideas on what to do with that.

again - I recommend going to the police - not just because they can do something about it - it also takes one more thing off your plate.

I cannot imaging how hard things must be - So remember to look after yourself also.

Sorry to hear that you are the victim of another form of bullying.
Distasteful though it is, your son's case is better dealt with by employing one or other form of 'bigger stick'. And his bullies will have reason to think twice in the future.

THank you for your support. that is exactly what I have done. I dont have the energy or ability to deal with this.
Police are aware of one of the boys, the one who dived in to help. Oddly enough they are also aware of other members of his family.
