Does your son play a team sport?Rugby,league or soccer,and hopefully the other tossers do,a simple thing is maybe sort it out on the field lol,that way he has back up as well,and usually goes unpunished(well maybe yellow card).
Have a mate of my brother who is similar to your son,he is 6'6" and solid,a gentle giant,and is 48yrs now,about 11yrs ago the brother and his mate were up town getting a feed after a work piss up.A couple of little toss pots were giving the tall guy grief,he just ignored them,then the little toss pot tries swinging at the tall guy,who just held the punchee away from himself,all that happened was arms swinging and hitting fresh air,much to the little wankers dismay and laughter from a couple more hoons.Would've been funny except my brother was on his own and about 100mts from his place when he was king hit,being pretty pissed he went home and slept it off,woke up next morning and off to A&E,ended up with ruptured spleen(suspected)and severe internal bruising.

I was bullied at school by a bunch of females, I tried ignoring them, then I used to tell them to fuck off! My parents told me that sticks and stones would hurt my bones blah blah. After taking the fuck off route they used to challenge me to fights on the netball courts. I ignored them and as a result used to get my head slammed in my locker, my books stolen out of my locker and flushed, getting shoved into walls, tripped up, you name it. The verbal shit was intense. I HATED school as a result.

I made a friend, a senior at the school, that I confided in about what was happening. We played in a band together otherwise I would have been invisible to her at school. She drove a Mini. One day we were driving along and spotted the main bully walking down the road. After I confirmed that it was, my friend revved up the car, mounted the footpath and attempted to run this chick over (not really, but I would not have wanted to be the runner) This chick eventually ran down a driveway. My fiend stopped, wound down the window and told this chick if anything else happened to me at school, the next time she would not stop. I never got bullied again.

I dont condone that behaviour. I came from a vulnerable home. I am grateful for that older girl doing what she did.

One of my kids was bullied at school. After asking the school to keep an eye out and nothing actually happening I rang the parents of this kid and went to pay a visit. It got sorted.

Dont let your boy down here mate. This went far and away past bullying, this was brutal thuggery, it needs to be dealt with by the professionals.

I was bullied at school fecking big time. I could handle myself but these bastards were 3-4 years above me and took exception to the fact that I played in the school rock band at 11 years old and giot more 'female' attention then they did. I took a few slaps off them but always gave it back as best I could. In the end, they backed off and ot was all sweet.

These bastards though, as Mom says, are thugs. They need sorting on an offical front. I know it's tempting to round them up and beat the shit out of them but our PC riddled society wont allow that unfortunatley and would never take your side if you did. Stick with it mate...11

I wasnt allowed to say the things I wanted to say, so I went ahead and said them anyway. lol. sod it, was going to be my only chance.
The boys have agreed to stay at least arms length away from each other and to not say anything. The school actually seems pretty on to it to be fair. They are going to keep a close eye on the situation and make sure it doesnt get away. We shall see.

And the youth aid cop at our local is going to be involved for a while so Im hoping that might be a wake up call for them as well.

I'm ready to drop active involvment with the issue and watch to see what develops. In the meantime, son is looking forward to doing the sound at the sports day tomorrow and for the performances the bands and drama group put on. He knows what he likes to do and has dived in to do it. All good (ish)

Two of my two cousins were home-schooled. They're weird. It does'nt happen to all home-schoolers but all I have met that were home-schooled are a bit weird.

Plus they're limited to the knowledge of their parents. Lecture notes are'nt enough. Especially at secondary level.

Besides, they'll never live it down if they end up in a job like mine! (did you have a crush on your teacher?was your teacher hot?ever get sent to the principal etcetc)
