Campbell Live Feature on Boy Racers

Oh my God! I have just watched TV3's Campbell Live feature on boy racers.
Was I imagining it or did I see these morons pouring neat diesel onto the road surface to facilitate burn outs!! Excuse my ignorance as a pom in my first year as an NZ resident, but I find this behaviour completely and utterly
unbelievable...the consequences for bikers doesnt bear thinking about... please tell me I was dreaming. Did anyone else see this?
This sort of irresponsible action makes me think all bikers are fully paid up members of the Institute of Advanced Motorists! On the other hand...is it me? Am I getting old? Should I accept it? Answers on a postcard please...

Since when have any boiracer of that kind thought about anybody other than themselfs? Mate they don't care about bikers. Even most normal cage drivers don't care about bikers. That's a universal fact.

I got old a long time ago....but I was young once laddie...why,I remember when.....

.....when I was a truck mechanic we used to put some diesel down in the yard and do burnouts in 10 ton trucks! - can you imagine a Leyland Hippo, tandem drive rear end, that's 8 tyres, winding up through the box smoking the tyres? You should see one of those axle tramp!.Then we used to get the electric forkhoist we used in the shop and spin it out too.Another game we played was to get an old ring gear and bowl it along the yard, someone would try and catch it on a fork.

I dunno about the young guys of today, they should lock them all up and take their toys away....back in my day we didn't do stupid dangerous things,oh no,we were good boys....

I feel your pain. Remember this is a country that has no qualms sending 30% of it's populace overseas to fight in wars that could reasonably be argued to be someone else's problem.

A guy I knew had washer bottles filled with diesel with the nozzles squirting onto the back tires of his RX7. Always wanted to push the button while he was pushing it at speed around a corner while NOT being in the car for the subsequent crash

    Sadly it ain't.

There used to be a part of the main street in this town that they used but the pressure of recent years has moved them on. Well, several blocks on anyway.

On balance, I would probably vote for them going back down town. Late at night I can now hear them torturing their mother's car to death in a car park a kilometre or so to the east of here.

Ah well, we are all young once.

Unfortunately though, not all of them will get to be old.

You know what I find horrible, is that I am not allowed to carry around a fully loaded gun with my firearms licence, and these dicks are allowed to drive around in a lowered down shit box that they will not be able to control in the critical moment, which will inevitably cause more damage than my gun! I highly doubt I will let of a clip just to show that I have it!

i fucken hate boy racers and there car hoes too. They should be shot for putting desil on the road.

but that was a huge car show though with a shitload of people from all over the country in one place. So i dont know if its that hard out every weekend. Maybe im wrong? add the cameras and you have little kids wanting to do burnouts to show off to their mates on tv.

what the hell were they thinking about doing that shit on dodgy roads with ice.

    Boy racers

Used to be into that scene couple of years ago (before I got into bikes).
Its probably something you grow out of after a year or two.
It is pretty stupid when I think about it.

That guy did sound pretty dumb, Campbell live probably chose him because of it.
