    Workshop Bench

As I have started doing more servicing on my bike I'm come to the appreciation it would be handy to have a "workshop" bench. A vice and a small anvil would be useful.

I'm guessing most of you simply build your own.

Does anyone sell workshop benches for home use?

Beer is your answer A 2n4(2doz) will get you one built but a 4n8(4doz) will ensure you get one completed....

Why dont you go to the demo yards bound to find a shitty old kitchen bench and cabinets

depends what you intend to do,but anchor it well to wall and floor and make the the top is soilid.Old kitchen cabinets would be a good start but a decent top(ie 140x45 boards) would be my pick..esp for where the vice is bolted on.

Will cost you as much for some modest tools and supplies as it will to buy one, but of course your one will fit perfectly.

I used a bunch of benches ripped out of a Maternity ward at the local hospital.Sturdy as fuck.with strong drawers, doors, shelving. The top was reasonly thick but not super hefty so I just replaced one area where I attached the vice. Fuckin primo.

I got a steel one from Supercheap last year, half price at $60, went to get another and.....all gone.
Bloody good one too, laminated top, 1 drawer, 2 cupboards and one large cavity.

yep...what this guy said. Got mine a few years back from the dump, it doubles as a bar for parties, very handy with shelves and all. think it cost me $5.
