And now that I know WTF I'm talking about... Yes, Darrel is a mate of mine, we've been racing (beachracing- see photo) and riding for years.
He has an absolute hard-on for R1's too he's been talking wesico for the thunder-ace. He's our local FZ expert.

We go riding alot, mostly off the cuff.
I'll be sure to post our next outing... Meremere might be a hoot

The first pic is an almost blowed-up XJ650, and next is Darrelssoon to fall out FZ crank!

Both those photos were taken at Gisborne... the black sand pics below are from Waioku by Pukekohe.

Noone races there anymore, one guy (Euan) on a gsxr11 could hit 240kph within the 800mtr straight, my gpz900 would be lucky to hit 200kph and my xj650 could only manage 160.
Roosters? yes indeed... I wonder how fast an R1 or ZX10 would go? we'd need to find a 190 dirt tyre to shread.

    just a thought from Babyb........

Some are interested in coming to furture events that they can bring the kids..

Maybe similar meetings like this could be arrange mounthly
meeting at a cafe in the morning, for the ones that can not always ride as well as the ones that can and have it tied into a bike ride in the afternoon for the ones that can, so that everyone can still get together and get to know each other...

examples, husbands, wives and partners all meeting for coffee and the ones that want to ride in the afternoon can all go off together and those that don't could always stay and talk/shop/eat/ race out with spanner's if someone forgets there like has happend before LoL.
