Sure he/she is pretty presumptuous parking there, but you would have to be able to see that from hundreds of meters away.

Person that hit clearly wasn't looking..

One would think the flashing strobes and general set up of the bike being extremely identical to the ones escorting the ambulance might be a slight indicator that the rider is in fact law enforcement and attempting to move traffic to the other lane to allow exit of the response vehicle.

Of course I could be mistaken but I would be more afraid of the fact that drivers with that level of skill are sharing the road with others and it would appear Europe is not exempt from idiots like this.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

No one expects there to be a stationary object in the middle of the lane, and certainly not with a person sitting on it. It might have also helped if he got said warning lights and pointed them up the road instead of across it.

Yip seen this before. Bad call on that guys part. Silly place to be mounted and stationary.

    Yup that sounds fair enough.
Personally, I would have dismounted once stopped in the desired spot. Easier and faster to get out of the way at the last second. And you would also be more visible to oncoming traffic.

Yes indeed, fuck you! No one deserves to be hit like that - no matter the circumstance. Dumbarse!

Expect it or not - unlike when posting on KB it's your obligation to engage both your senses as well as your brain when you are operating a motor vehicle! The guy driving the yellow car must have been pretty much asleep to not notice the vehicle.

All of that said, a safer practice would have been for the rider only occupy one half of the lane - that way there would have been more room to swerve around him. I for one does not envy the bike-cops that run the light-to-light relay for critical ambulance responses - bloody dangerous work.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

    Who didn't see that coming
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
