Unlucky Frosty, racing is a sport of natural selection and usually those who aren't meant for it crash so much they either can't afford to keep fixing the bike or they break thier bodies too much and aren't able to race anymore.

You seem to have done the right things and haven't suffered the above but unfortunately at the moment you don't have the racing gods smiling at you but you're not alone, just ask me or MR about blowing up race vans & I'm sure there's just as many guys on this forum who have blown an engine or 2. I'm sure you'll get back into it bro. In the meantime - I hear you organise a mean trackday....why not put some of that energy and creative genius into coordinating race meetings? Auckland MC Club is in need of some road race members. Just a thought anyway. Seeya at the track!

    Thumbs up

I know this is a big ask - but does this mean you will have more time to spend with your fiancee?? Or is the motorbikes / knitting still more important ?

    *DANGER DANGER WILL*

I hear ya. Sucks, huh? But can't help but think things happen for a reason..
Don't give up too quickly. I know you've blown the van up, and the bike keeps going too, but this *might* be the last one, and it's here to test you. Fix it this time, and things could be awesome from now on in..

or I could be spewing verbal crudd, but as long as you give it your best shot and don't quit easy, then fairs' fair.

is the motor beyond stripping back and rebuilding? What blew with it?

Speed knitting can get expensive too

Do what I do, get an old clunka - take ten years to restore it and zap round on the odd track day or private hire.

Alternatively, turn up to track days and teach people how to race - surprising how many rides you can scrounge doing that - and it doesnt hurt you when they fall off.

What about doing Buckets Frosty? Bit cheaper than F3, etc.

I'll get one of the gals from the Taita Machine Knitters Club to send you a brochure about their winter and summer competitions...

Below is the link for speed knitting, you might have to register a new nic, maybe "Frosty hand warmer" or "dont feel frosty" (that will be guaranteed)

oh no. oh no. meller yeller was coool.
every time Maz Quinn surfed poorly in the WQS he used to dump his (beautiful) girlfriend. Frosty don't be biffin da baby out wit da baf water. might just be time to take a break until you get the racing stoke back again (and some a more mooolar). sooner or later the anger will blow arf you and the green eyed monster will return when you watch the others going round and round a racing. then it'll be your time to race like a bandit again.
