    15 year learner license

    Hi All

I just picked up a 2004 Honda VTR250 yesterday with helmet and hoping to get the rest of the gear delivered today. I'm on the North Shore and have been driving gently around the block so far. Even though I've had my learner's licence for 15 years my last experience on a bike was boosting around Phuket on holiday for 2 weeks on a 125cc scooter with a frightened pillion.

Looking forward to upskilling and hoping to make it along to the NASS as soon as I can track down a sweet plastic L-plate. I've already mooched lots of advie so far on bikes and equipment and look forward to mooching even more!

    Cheers
    Nimma

Is your 6L still valid after all that time?

15 years on a learner is nothing....hate to say this but I still have the "L" on my licence...and it was first issued in 1987...

    ...must

    ...stop

    ...procrastinating

Ah well, a few $400 fines will give you the hurry up.

Currently it is still valid but there was some talk about putting a three year limit on learner and restricted licences due to the number of folks on both class 1 and 6 that have not bothered to upgrade for so many years.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

    Have fun on that VTR..

I guess if your not using your bike licence etc,you put off getting your full, but you never know when you might need/want to ride again.

I will get my restricted as soon as I'm eligible.

Licence is a little scratched, it's still good. A few thing put me off bikes a while back but looking forward to getting into them now.

My gears turn up tomorrow, I'm going to look like a chump wearing them at the Warehouse while I pick up the plastic L-plate. SHouldn't be for long though, as soon as I get some confidence I'll be going for my restricted and then full in the shortest time possible.

who cares what you look like? Riding is about riding not about how you look.
Glad that you got over what ailed you about bikes.
